Summary
Like physical products, technology must incorporate universal design principles to ensure that all users are able to access it. “People who interact with technology are extraordinarily diverse, with a wide variety of characteristics and contexts. It cannot be assumed that everyone is using a traditional monitor, browser, or keyboard” (UW-Madison IT, 2016). For more on on this principle, see Universal Design.
