When recording any course introduction or instructional video you will want to consider, for example, your objectives, video length, script, visualizations, and on-screen presence. Recording video remotely presents additional considerations. Guiding principles for recording quality video, recording options and tools, and accessibility and captioning options are shared below.
- Keep it short.
- Use a title card for each new piece of content.
- Limit the number of new concepts per recording. A manageable amount per recording is generally 3 to 7 pieces of new concepts.
- Do not include course-specific information, such as dates and numbers.
- Include engaging content.
- Keep it natural.
